Reserving Your Date

Weddings are booked on a first come first served basis. Since there is just one of me, your date is not officially reserved until a signed contract and a one thousand dollar non refundable retainer are received.

The retainer does apply toward your photography package and secures your date exclusively. If your wedding is canceled, the retainer remains non refundable and will be lovingly repurposed to help feed my giant teenager.

Until both the contract and retainer are received, your date is considered available to other couples.

Payment Schedule

Your remaining balance and payment timeline will be clearly outlined in your contract. All payments must be completed by the due date listed in order to maintain your booking.

Cancellations and Rescheduling

I understand that life can shift. If you need to reschedule your wedding, I will do my best to accommodate your new date based on availability.

Retainers are non refundable but may be transferred to a new date if I am available.

In the very unlikely event that I am unable to photograph your wedding due to an emergency, I will make every reasonable effort to secure a qualified replacement or issue a full refund of all payments received.

Creative Style and Coverage

You are hiring me for my experience, perspective, and creative approach. Weddings are live events and while I always aim to capture the most meaningful moments, I cannot guarantee specific images or moments.

By booking, you trust my artistic judgment when it comes to composition, lighting, editing, and storytelling.

Image Delivery

Final edited images will be delivered through an online gallery within the timeframe outlined in your contract.

Unedited or RAW files are not delivered.

Copyright and Image Use

All images remain the copyright of Love, Chelsea Photography.

You are granted personal usage rights which allow you to print, share, and enjoy your images for personal use. Images may not be sold, altered, or used commercially without written permission.

I may use images from your wedding for my website, portfolio, social media, marketing, and publication unless you notify me otherwise in writing.

Some things are always respected automatically. I do not share boudoir images or pre wedding dress details before the wedding day. Ever.

If you prefer that your images not be shared publicly at all, just let me know in writing. I am happy to honor that.

Client Responsibilities

Clients are responsible for securing any necessary permissions at venues where photography may be restricted.

It is also the client’s responsibility to ensure reasonable cooperation from guests, family members, and vendors so I can do my job well and tell your story honestly.

For the safety of my equipment, laser lighting is not permitted during photography coverage. Laser lights can cause permanent damage to professional camera sensors and may impact my ability to continue photographing your event.

A professional day of coordinator is required for all weddings. When a coordinator is not present, that role often defaults to me, which means I am no longer able to do the job you hired me for.

Please resist the urge to assign this role to a friend, aunt, or well meaning helper.  Coordinating a wedding requires experience, neutrality, and the ability to keep things moving calmly.

The difference between chaos and calm is almost always hiring the right professionals.

Limitation of Liability

Every reasonable precaution is taken to protect your images. From redundant backups to secure storage, your files are handled with care and intention from the moment they’re captured. For what it’s worth, my husband has worked in IT security for the military for over two decades, so data safety is something I take very seriously.

That said, in the extremely unlikely event of equipment failure, data loss, or circumstances beyond my control, liability is limited to the return of payments received.

By booking, you acknowledge that while every effort is made to safeguard your images, no system is entirely immune to unforeseen events.
